AI positioning software

Most positioning lives in someone's head. MITPO turns it into a structured brief that updates as your research, audience, and campaign goals evolve.

In brief

MITPO Positioning helps teams turn market and competitor research into clearer messaging and sharper differentiation, with an editable positioning brief.

How it works

Three inputs, one editable brief

  1. 01

    Drop your inputs

Domain (or competitor domain), audience description, and one-line "what we sell". MITPO does the rest.

  2. 02

    Render the brief

Six fields: audience, category, differentiation, anti-position, voice, proof. Each cited against your competitor map.

  3. 03

    Edit + propagate

Edit any field; downstream campaigns + creative regenerate with the new positioning. Brand voice rules update automatically.

What you get

A positioning brief, not a paragraph

Field

Audience

Primary and secondary segments with the jobs they hire your product for.

Field

Category

Where you compete and where you don't - with a one-line definition.

Field

Differentiation

What only you do, sourced from competitor research.

Field

Proof

The two or three pieces of evidence that earn the claim.

Field

Anti-position

Where you intentionally won't play.

Field

Voice

Tone + words + words you avoid.

Who it is for

Who the Brand page is for

Good fit

It helps when

  • You have a website or a brand guide and want MITPO to suggest what to keep.
  • You sell to more than one kind of buyer and want each one written down.
  • You sound different on LinkedIn, X and email, and want a tone saved for each.
  • You work with a freelancer and want one voice guide to share.
Not the right tool

It will not help when

  • You want MITPO to pick your category or price. It suggests, and you keep or skip each item.
  • You want a proof point made up. Proof is limited to numbers, awards and reviews you add, and the page asks for only what is true.
  • You need a new logo made. The Look tab stores the logo, colours and fonts you already have.
What it holds

Six kinds of fact, each one editable

Who you sell to

One line for each buyer group, such as busy cafe owners in the city. Posts and ads are written to speak to these people, so name them plainly.

What you sell

Products, plans and offers, each with a short detail line. Your copy can then point to them by name and stay accurate about what you sell.

Proof you can use

Numbers, awards and reviews that your copy is allowed to quote. Add only what is true, because drafts may repeat it word for word to buyers.

How you sound

Two or three trait words, and for each one, how far it should go. For example, warm, but never syrupy. This stops a trait from being overdone.

Words to say and avoid

Two lists of words. One holds the words you want in your copy. The other holds the words you never want to see in any draft.

Tone for each channel

A note on how your voice shifts on LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, email and your website, so one voice sounds right in each place.

How it stays under your control

Suggestions wait for you

Every fact is a separate item with a label for where it came from, such as From your website or Written by you. When MITPO suggests an item, it waits for you to keep or skip it. Only the items you keep are passed to drafts. Skipped items are ignored.

Your own edits are protected. Once you change or lock an item, a later reading of your website or documents will not overwrite it. A new automatic suggestion also cannot replace an item you already kept or skipped. Update from your website also tells you when nothing new turned up.

Kept items are used in more than one place. Copywriting, the polish step on campaign posts and persona writing read your confirmed voice, offers and proof. Campaign plans read your audience, tone and tagline. Image and video prompts use your colours and tone only when you switch Brand Context on.

What you get

A real positioning brief, not a value-prop sentence

Sample - positioning brief for a developer-tools challenger

Audience
5-25 person eng teams shipping production SaaS, frustrated with $30k+ observability bills.
Category
Modern observability for cost-sensitive teams.
Differentiation
Self-host or cloud. Predictable per-host pricing. Zero data egress fees. OTLP-native.
Anti-position
Not for enterprise security teams. Not a SIEM. Not for teams already happy with Datadog.
Voice
Engineer to engineer. Specific numbers. Avoid: "powerful", "seamless", "AI-powered".
Proof
37 production teams. $4.2M cumulative spend cut vs prior vendor. Open-source 2.1k stars.

Re-renders in <60s when audience or competitor signal changes.
